The planting of sawtooth oak has been banned by many states as the tree is cross breeding with the native oaks. We are no longer selling the sawtooth oak.
Sawtooth Oak in Iowa have not been shown to be hardy in winters when the temperature gets below -25 as they die back to ground level, then restrout again in the spring.
